The Tots100 Twitterati, January 2015

There’s been plenty of criticism recently about Twitter becoming a place just to link-dump and run. It’s accompanied some pretty nostalgic pining for the good old days of chit chat with your virtual mates in 140 characters, and there’s been some vocal complaints about the sheer amount of scheduled tweets that are now posted.

It might well be the case that there’s a fair amount of link-dropping and a bit less nattering – but here at Tots100 we still love Twitter. Why? Because we reckon there’s still plenty of people on there who make us laugh.

Our timeline regularly makes us smile, or smirk, or quietly giggle to ourselves – and so we’re bringing back our regular Twitterati feature.

The Tots100 Twitterati is where we share the very best of our timeline with you, so that you too, can follow the funniest people on Twitter.

For more fun and general chatter, don’t forget to follow @tots100 on Twitter – and our sister sites @foodies100 and@hibs100 too, naturally!

When you respond to a PR saying your child loves feeding dicks… when you meant ducks. Yeah that.

Priorities change when you get older. I used to want a fairy tale castle, handsome prince and fancy jewels. Now I want slipper socks.

Sam: I’d forgotten about sleepless nights. Me: you didn’t have any? Him: Yes I know but I had to listen to you go on about them!

Oh my word- does salad make you thin because it takes so flippin long to eat?!?

Tiger’s favourite phrase at the moment is ‘one car’ – say it out loud though and you will see what we mistook it for to start with!!

Hubs has gone for a run, I’m eating Bourbon biscuits. That’s a balanced relationship right there.

Dear Pinterest, it’s not a reading nook, it’s a chair and a book shelf.

Trying and failing to jump start my car this morning. Not the edifying ‘sisters are dong it for themselves’ feeling I’d hoped for.

  1. LOVE this list! …But you’re right. Finding the good tweets amongst the link dumping isn’t the easiest.

    …Guilty as charged! – I will improve 🙂

And YAY Kiran!! I didn’t know you were acting editor here! Love it! Have an awesome day at work <3

So You Know...

As you've likely heard and seen, there's an increasing focus on the authenticity of follower growth and engagement on social platforms across the Influencer Marketing community. The platforms themselves have taken measures to deter inauthentic activity and brands now more closely scrutinise the audiences of the influencers with whom they are partnering.

The Flea Network has implemented a system that will detect abnormal spikes in following and engagement, and flag these properties. Of course, such spikes can often be attributed to viral posts or high-profile brands that bring greater exposure to some content.

If one of your social accounts is flagged by our system without an obvious reason, we may reach out to you for assistance in understanding it. If we find any influencer has artificially inflated their audience size or engagement using paid acquisition or automated, third-party tools, we will remove them permanently from our influencer community.

Feel free to reach out to us at with any questions or comments.

Thank you!

The Flea Network Team

Got it!
