Five Blogs to Make Feeding Kids Fun!

Today’s Fresh Five has been chosen by Donna at Red Head Baby Led. Donna started blogging to document her weaning journey with her daughter, and soon discovered other bloggers having weaning adventures and also found some great recipes along the way. She shares the five blogs that inspire her most when it comes to cooking for kids – so over to Donna.

Blogs to make feeding kids fun

I have loved reading other bloggers’ weaning adventures and have found inspiration as well as recipes. Feeding kids is often messy, stressful and time consuming but I try to remember that it should be fun too. Here are five blogs that have helped me to do that.

I have read My Family Fever for over a year now. I started reading because Kate wrote about subjects I could really relate to as we were weaning our sons around the same time. Kate has written about her weaning journey and beyond and also writes a lot of family recipes that make meal times as fun as possible for kids – her fish finger pizza is something every family should try!

A blog that leaves me in absolute awe when it comes to feeding kids is Super Busy Mum. Not only does Debs have five kids but she feeds them such amazing food! Every week Debs shares a toddler treat – her Cheesey Tomato Muffins are a particular favourite of mine. I always find it hard to think of different things to give the kids as treats but Super Busy Mum always has a new idea for me to try.

I first found Emily Beale’s blog because of her beautiful photography but soon realised that she also makes some amazing foodie treats too. Many are great for kids and families and Emily’s photographs really sell a lifestyle, take her Banana, Cranberry and Pecan Bread for instance. It’s not just a wholesome, fruity loaf, but a beautiful slice of cake and a bottle of milk – such a lovely snack and something that children will remember forever.

A blog that I started reading quite recently is One Busy WAHM. I was drawn in by her amazing diet journey but have since been inspired by her family friendly recipes – especially the Red, White & Blueberry: Firecracker Sparklers. They are a great way of making blueberries more exciting. One Busy WAHM covers family meals, baking and treats and the photography is enough to keep you coming back for more!

I couldn’t write about making feeding kids fun without mentioning Eats Amazing. Grace’s blog is my go-to blog for all things fun when it comes to food and some of her bento style lunches are a incredible – a work of art. Eats Amazing has a Fun Food Friday linky as well as always having seasonal posts like Rocket Sandwiches for Firework Night. If you’re looking for ways to make lunch fun then look no further!
