Every two weeks here at the Tots100, our team will be highlighting some of their favourite fresh voices in the Tots100 parent blogging community.
The Fresh Five is about parent blogs that don’t regularly feature in our top 100 blogs – they might be a little more niche, or maybe they’re just newer than some of the blogs you’re used to reading and reading about. But what brings all our Fresh Five blogs together is the fact they’re all brilliant and we think they deserve a place on your regular reading this.
This week, our food editor Amy has taken a look at the Tots100 community and chosen five fresh blogs to recommend:
I love discovering new blogs, whether they are new to me or bloggers who have just started writing, so I’m really excited that I’m going to be writing one of the fortnightly Fresh Five posts each month.
This week I found myself drawn to bloggers who love to make, bake and create – I may be just a little envious of the amazing range of talent out there!
The Handmade Mum is written by Danielle, mum to one (almost two!). On Danielle’s blog you will find a fantastic mix of posts including baking, crafts, pregnancy updates and much more. I loved reading about her son, Alex’s, birthday party recently – such great party ideas!
I have been reading Over A Cuppa for a while now and love seeing all Ali’s delicious recipes. If you are looking for inspiration in the kitchen, then this is the place for you. From hearty suppers to baked goodies, you’ll find it all on Ali’s blog. Maybe if you tell her I sent you, then she’ll save some yummy treats for me?
How could I resist the lure of a blog called Chicken & Custard? What a wonderful title to go with a gorgeous blog. Not only is Jack incredibly clever at making pretty things, she takes some lovely photos too. Jack says she started her blog to record all those special moments that she wants to remember, and she’s certainly done that.
I love the chatty writing style of Melksham Mum. It’s the sort of blog where you grab a coffee, sit down for a read and feel like you are catching up with an old friend. I have really enjoyed reading about the #pinaddicts challenge – probably something I should join in with too as I’m forever pinning things onto Pinterest boards and not actually making them!
Last, but definitely not least, this week is Something I Made. I really do identify with Alexis when she says she is great at starting a project, but not so good at finishing it! There’s no denying it, I am incredibly nosey and love nothing better than a good snoop around someone’s home. I think it’s fair to say that, having had a peek into Alexis’ gorgeous home, I have serious envy! I hope you enjoy this little selection of blogs as much as I enjoy reading them. We’ll see you again in a fortnight for another Fresh Five.
