Win £2,500 home makeover with Tots100

Now.

We know you’re busy.

We know there’s the school run to do, and lunches to make, and laundry to be done, and jobs and work and play-dates and Twitter….

We know.

But this month, the Tots100 and Ratedpeople.com have an opportunity you CANNOT afford to miss!

We’re offering you the chance to win an amazing £2,500 to make over a room in your house. Ratedpeople.com will provide the budget to pay for new fixtured and fittings, and will even help find great tradesmen to take on the job for you – whenever you’re ready to start work! (So if you’re not ready right away, don’t panic – we’ll be ready when you are)

That’s enough to put down a new kitchen floor and replace some of those ageing appliances.

Or maybe you’d like to update your neglected bedroom and add in some great new lighting and redecorate.

How about adding storage to the children’s rooms or the playroom?

The sky’s the limit.

So how would you spend £2,500?

Would you make over your bathroom? A Modern Mummy wants to completely renovate the downstairs bathroom in her period cottage, and has visions of Cath Kidston meets Country Living. We love her proposed design!

Kitchens are a room loads of us want to upgrade. First Time Mum wants to streamline the storage in her lounge with sleek white units and splashes of colour, while The Mini Mes and Me wants to replace her half-finished kitchen with sleek wooden units and bright red tiles – very stylish! Superamazing Mum is also dreaming of a new kitchen and has shared a video of her current kitchen – we sympathise with the dodgy walls and wonky tiles!

How about making your own study? I suspect many of us feel like Becky at Baby Budgeting and dream of having our own space at home to write and blog – check out Becky’s ideas.

Or maybe you fancy having a perfect bedroom. I live in a Victorian terrace and I love Corner by Corner’s plans for her Victorian bedroom – maximising light and space while providing a haven to retreat to at the end of the day – gorgeous!

Your makeover doesn’t have to be inside the house. How about making over your garden? (You might want to wait for Spring to get this job done!) We love the sensory garden that Wendy from Savette Gazette is dreaming of.

How to Enter

It’s entirely up to you how you share your makeover plans with us. All we ask is that you blog your plans and include one of the badges below.

You could make a video blog, like Kylie from Not Even A – show us your old room and tell us what you’d change.

You could scribble some notes in your notebook and share a photo of the results with us – like Kelly from A Place of My Own.

You might want to create a photo blog, and share some photos of your existing room. Why not use photos (or even a Pinterest board) to show us what your new room might look like? Show us your dream buys, like Tales of Mother Goutte.

CJ at A Mummy’s View has used a website to put together products she’d like to buy for her daughter’s bedroom and to simulate what the finished room might look like.

However you decide to enter – just make sure you don’t miss out!

You can leave a link to your post in the comments to this post, and please do also Tweet us a link using the #TotsDIY hashtag.

Now Choose Your Badge!

Just grab the code next to the badge that best fits your chosen project and add it to your post by pasting the HTML into the HTML view of your blog’s compose window. If you get stuck posting your badge, just comment below, and we’ll email you step-by-step instructions!
