It’s Friday and time for another round up of our favourite posts from the bloggers in the Tots100 index of UK parent blogs.
The summer holidays are drawing to a close (and have ended already, in some cases) and our parent bloggers are turning their attention to Autumn and all that involves.
For many Mums and Dads, September is about new starts and good intentions – whether relating to fitness, fatness or finances. And our blogs capture those good intentions, and how they are applied (or in my case, not).
We’re feeling more confident about the good intentions of Shannon from I Heart Motherhood, who is on a mission to reduce spending with a few small savings each week. We’re hoping to be inspired!
There’s more Autumn over at Medicated Follower of Fashion – what’s your autumn wardrobe look like?
Liz over at Cambridge Mummy is feeling reflective and I really identify with this post about how hard it can be to take time off, and how important it is sometimes to sit and think about what you’re doing, and how much you enjoy it.
Sometimes pictures are all you need to tell a great story and I love the photos on this post from My So Called Life - coincidentally one of my all-time favourite TV programmes.
There’s an exciting new adventure for A Modern Military Mother who has scored a job writing about one of the world’s most exciting races – the Vendee Globe yacht race. This will involve heading off to the Vendee in France, with occasional trips to Paris. We can’t wait to hear about your adventures.
Another new adventure for the Mid Thirties Life family, who are heading back to Australia in eight weeks time. I’m sure lots of ex-pats will identify with this post. Best of luck on your travels!
Next up, Tattie Weasle made us laugh this week with this great post about telling kids to grow up. Should we really be encouraging our young people to be like us?
Carly’s second pregnancy seems to have raced by (well, for us) and it’s only a few weeks until baby two is due to arrive – and over at Mummy’s Shoes, Carly’s feeling emotional about how three-year-old Belle will react to a new baby sibling. There are some gorgeous photos, that serve as a perfect reminder of how fast childhood can go, sometimes.
There’s a great post over on Mammywoo this week about kindness and the opposite of that. Have you ever been subject to abuse from a stranger? How did you cope?
Lastly this week, a really simple, lovely post from The Mummy Blogger that hit a chord with me, this week. How often do you say “I love you” – and do you agree it’s the most important thing there is?

some great suggestions here, Ill go get a cuppa and get reading.xx
Aww thanks for including me. I have only just realised xxx
