This weekend, we welcomed 100 kids, bloggers and partners to the circus for our Tots100 Parent Bloggers’ Summer Party.
The sun was shining on Brighton beach as we headed for the Zippos Circus Big Top to spend the afternoon with some of our favourite bloggers and their families.
There was plenty of time for the children to run around on the beach before we settled for an al fresco lunch of burgers, hot dogs, popcorn, chips and Slushies in the shade of the Big Top – we took the weekend off from healthy eating!
After lunch, we all headed into the Big Top for a very special circus skills workshop. There was time for the children to try their hands at juggling and plate-spinning, and then a chance to meet some of the circus animals, including the wonderful performing horses, and the amazingly talented budgies! After that some of the kids had a chance to swing on the low trapeze. Tragically there was no time for the adults to have a turn, or we’d have volunteered for sure *cough*
There was just time for a spot of face painting before the tent opened to the public and the show began!
If you do get a chance to see the Zippos Circus while its on tour this year, we’d heartily recommend it – there are clowns and tumblers, limbo dancing, trapeze artists and some of the most beautiful horses you can imagine. If you’re a thrill seeker, the fire-limbo-dancers are quite something to watch, and the grand finale of the show had all of us on the very edge of our seats!
We just wanted to say a HUGE thanks to Zippos for hosting us all so wonderfully, and to all the performers who gave us a glimpse behind the scenes.
We had a really wonderful day, and we can’t wait to see you all again at the next party!
