The Tots100 team have been blown away by the response to BlogCamp this year – our first event, in Birmingham last month, was a great success, and we loved meeting the 120 bloggers who made the trip to The Studio to spend the day chatting with us about all things blog-related.
This week, we’ve announced new BlogCamp UK events in London and Manchester, which will each accommodate around 120 bloggers. Both were fully booked within an hour of us announcing the dates, showing the huge demand for regional, affordable events for bloggers. We really hope that with your support, we’ll be able to look at holding more BlogCamp events in other UK cities.
If you’d like to attend BlogCamp UK in London (September 13) or Manchester (October) then it is worth joining the wait-list – we do expect tickets to become available over the coming weeks, and these will be offered to those on the waiting list first. Join the London list here, and Manchester here.
In the meantime, we want to know – what would you like to talk about at BlogCamp?
We know many of our guests will have attended previous BlogCamp events and we want to keep things fresh and interesting for you guys. As ever, we want to provide a real mixture of practical information for new and continuing bloggers, combined with inspirational stories from bloggers you might not have come across before.
So tell us…
- What practical blogging skills do you want to know about?
- Are there issues you think we should be debating?
- What sort of blogging stories inspire you?
- Do you want to know more about the creative side of blogging?

I can see there is a wait list for Manchester, but no link for London? Or am I looking in the wrong place?
The word ‘here’ after London is a link to the London page, no?
I’d like to know more about how the indexes work and what you can do to improve your rating. Also Pinterest, and basic code so that you can adjust your permalinks and so forth…
Blimey, REALLY? Wouldn’t an index presentation be very boring? (Also, I’d have to do it)
Basic HTML – that’s a great idea. And we’re definitely keen to do something on Pinterest – thanks!
I was wondering if the cookies thing will be as important as the nofollow links? Would love to hear what people think about it.
Perhaps more on photography? The session at Birmingham blogcamp was very successful and quite a lot of us have learned much. But there wasn’t enough time so more will be great!
Having Sally giving us a talk is a fantastic idea! I second it!
Yes, tricks with HTML would be brilliant. Also, I’m now gutted I didn’t go to the session at Cybher on getting the most out of WordPress, so I’d love that. And, and would it be mad to do some kind of writing coaching? How to move from averagely good to bloody brilliant? If anyone’s got the answer to that I’m all ears! I could go on, but I’m guessing I’ve had my quota
I definitely think you should speak about the Tots Index Sally
I’d like some hints and tips on time management (for want of a better expression) – how to make the most of the small amount of time available to busy parents for blogging.
I am always interested in hearing more on writing reviews well, how to make them different, unique, how to work with PRs who want a review out within a few days of sending the product when (frequently due to being a busy parent) life doesn’t always permit that.
I like Helen’s idea about writing coaching as well.
Depending on how the cookies thing pans out, that might be a hot topic too. Or we might all be in a flap about something completely different by September/October
How to write a pitch letter ?
Creating a diverse product funnel– creating ebooks, apps, using affiliate ideas, partnering etc
Effective about me pages
Best uses for each social media platform- is it better to say the same thing on multiple platforms or different things for each/ automate?
Definitely cookies – I’ve raised it with WordPress and their response hasn’t been very good. Whilst I think the spirit of the law is aimed more at retailers, blogs which have shops or link to goods for sale (even with a nofollow link) is definitely a grey area.
An ebooks ‘How to’ would be on my ‘must attend’ list.
I have had a lot of feedback and people asking me how I work with PR firms and how I get such a great response from them. I reckon people would be interested in that.
I’d love to know a bit more about getting the most from WordPress, what the cookies malarky is all about, and maybe strategies for ‘getting your blog out there’ .
So looking forward to it, and putting some faces to names!!
