Best of the UK Parent Blogs: Ten at Ten (58)

Top Ten British Mummy and Daddy Bloggers

Thank Crunchie it’s Friday (yes, it’s been one of THOSE weeks). It also, by some strange coincidence, happens to be ten o’clock. And you know what that means.

Our guest Editor this week is the always-lovely Sonia from This Mummy Loves.  Things you should know about Sonia?

  • In her 20’s she was working in a bakery – looking up at her next customer she was face to face with Sir Cliff Richard no less. I know! Sir Cliff! *be still me heart*.
  • I’m sure you’ll all be even prouder to know that until the ripe old age of 27 she used to pronounce archives “are chives” (as in the stuff you grow)…
  • Sonia’s also decided to share her very favourite joke with us – one she proudly stood up on stage and performed as a child (much to the delight of her parents, we’re sure…)

What’s green and pear shaped?

A Pear!!! Boom boom!!!

So go put the kettle on and come back when you’re equipped with a steaming mug and a pack of biscuits, for Sonia has a whole selection of the best of the Tots100 posts for you to have a mosey through…

Sonia Writes…

My first post is Madeleine McCann: who are we to judge? By Actually Mummy. This is an incredibly brave and well written post and whether you agree with her or not Madeleine is innocent and needs to be found!

How would you feel if you were told your 15 month old couldn’t see you and his whole world is one big blur? Dawnie Brown’s post Master B and His Vision describes just that!

I can’t resist a birth story! I was so pleased for Emma from Me The Man & The Baby for getting the home birth that she wanted. I really hope they have both recovered from their stay in hospital and are at home and well :O) Dylan – A Birth Story

Dorkymum explains what Twitter is like… to those of us who may not be addicted already *cough* I love the idea of it being a separate room in my house and stepping inside to talk to people every now and then.

I feel very strongly about well fitted bras so am pleased to share with you this post from Minibreak Mummy; F-cup Me! How the right bra has transformed the way I look and feel.  Do get yourselves checked regularly, it does make a HUGE difference!

I love a good Breastfeeding post and Mothers Milk  by The Ramblings of a Former Rock and Roll Mum talks about the controversial photo that was on the cover of the Times recently. Was that boy really only 3? He looked at least 5!!!

Cybher has been the talk of the Blogosphere these last few days and Jax at Live Otherwise has written her post about how Cybher cost her money! Cybher: I wish – I wanted to include a Cybher post and this one hit home for me & made me sit and think what I have and how I can make a difference!

Poor Emma is currently in Hospital Hell; little Erin isn’t having a great time; she’s back in cast and poorly on the ward. Spica Four, The Hell of DDH

I used to have a HUGE fear of driving so can really relate to Mum of Three Boy’s post My Fear of Driving. Thankfully I have overcome my fear and will drive almost anywhere, if you have any advice please do leave her some.

Finally I have to end on food because I’m starving; I’ve been writing and searching for fab posts for hours ;0) The lovely Amanda has been rather creative and made her little girl an Easy Tangled Birthday Cake It looks really great and is easy to make and any little Tangled fan will surely love it!

Sally Whittle is founder of the Tots100, Foodies100, BlogSummit and the MAD Blog Awards. When she's not working, she can be found blogging at Who's the Mummy, or having fun with her 8 year old daughter, Flea.

  1. Ggrrrrr! I couldn’t resist clicking on nearly all of those. Thank goodness I’d already read the others! *makes more tea*
Thanks for putting my Madeleine post in – it’s been an interesting week on my Twitter page after that one, I can tell you!
