
Around 75% of the 2,500 active bloggers listed in the Tots100 index of British Mummy and Daddy bloggers are on Twitter.
And why not? Twitter is great. It’s the perfect place to promote your blog, discover new blogs, swap ideas and tips, and catch up with your friends.
Before we publish the first Tots100 index of 2012, though, we thought we’d share with you our top 20 rated bloggers on Twitter from 2011 – this is based on scores for the whole of the last 12 months. And introducing them is our latest contributor, the lovely Louise from Bloggomy:

Mediocre Mum @mediocre_mum
Chrissie is a Canadian living in the UK and is outspoken, chatty, opinionated and prone to Tweeting after a few glasses of wine. With over 5,500 followers on Twitter this lady knows how to tweet! Chrissie is a lover of slow cooking and was recently described by @perkie64 a “funny witty kind” person – what a lovely way to be. Sleep is for the Weak @porridgebrain
Josie is a soul who knows how to spread the Twitter love and is always on hand with a kind word, a random observation or a gorgeous photograph. Never Tweeting quite what you’d expect, she’s a constant source of inspiration and fun. Her blog Sleep is for the Weak is a creative joy to read and shares the journey of Josie and her son Kai, along with dozens of beautiful drawings and stories.
Blog up North @himupnorth
A man who knows his music stuff and isn’t afraid to share it, Garry’s Twitter stream offers us dry observations, amazing music tips and Tweets, and much more besides. His blog Blog up North is hugely popular, with over 3200 followers. Take a gander and find out why…
Loved by Parents @lovedbyparents
The Loved by Parents awards were a huge hit in 2011, and should be even bigger and better in 2012. This account is guaranteed to make you feel warm and fuzzy inside and is great for a chat. With a blog Loved by Parents that supports parents as well as other bloggers. The blog is full of informative parenting information and rather fantastic competitions.
Stay at Home Babe @stayathomebabe
A babe with a serious sense of humour and some amazing body artwork, this Twitter stream is sassy, bold and not for the retiring! SAHB’s blog Stay at Home Babe.com shouts ‘What you see is what you get’ and is sass mixed with a love of food – makes for one hell of a combination!
A Mother’s Ramblings @pippad
Describing herself as ‘slightly geeky’ Pippa’s tweets are all about family fun, with topical questions of the day designed to get people talking. Pippa’s blog A Mothers Ramblings is the perfect extension of her tweets. For ideas on having fun with the family look no further!
Curly and Candid @nickicawood
Nicki is always on hand with a kind word on Twitter and her tweets are informative and friendly, sharing tips on Tweeting and being a working Mum. Curly and Candid is a blog that was recently described as something of a “Morning TV show in blog form” move over morning TV presenters….
Susan K Mann @susankmann
A woman of many hats, Susan is one of the most genuine, caring bloggers on Twitter – and is great to chat with. Susan’s often found on Twitter til the wee small hours and has the Klout score to prove it! Her blog Susan K Mann is a mixture of creative writing, poetry and some really quite good book reviews.

Listed in 227 twitter lists, Tara is a lady who knows how to tweet and her blog Sticky Fingers is the home of ‘The Gallery’. This is a good thing really as Tara states photography is ‘her thing’ and her photos prove it.
Musings of a Mosler @christinemosler
Chris loves to tweet about all things foodie, parenting, family and much more besides, along with inspiring words and pictures as a Save the Children Ambassador. Her blog Thinly Spread is a delicious combination of family life, food and stunning photographs.

A tweeter who says it like it is, Jane can be relied upon to Tweet thought-provoking, slightly quirky messages, with links to amazing blog posts and content, and flashes of sharp humour. An author and journalist, Jane’s blog Diary of a Desperate Exmoor Woman is a book lover’s dream.

Admitting to ‘spending too much time on Twitter and not nearly enough on housework’ @Jax2000 is someone with somewhat of a social media addiction (in the nicest sense).
