Are you joining us at BlogCamp Brighton next Friday?
We’ll be bringing together 30 bloggers and a great line-up of speakers for a special half-day workshop focusing on photography and improving the images on your blog. It’s a great opportunity to share your experiences and tips, and learn from our experts, who will be explaining how they achieve great results, and offering tips on how you can do the same.

First up, Ghene Snowdon will be chatting about making the most of your digital camera to take portraits and family photos. Ghene is a portrait and wedding photographer based in London. Ghene specialises in natural light photography, and regularly heads out to local parks, estates and landmarks to take photos of her clients and her two children. Ghene is a big believer in making the most of the kit you already have – not worrying about having the most pixels or the fanciest lens. She’ll be offering tips on making the most of your camera, and capturing natural photos that show lots of personality.

Foodie and geek Giles Phelps is one half of the heavyweight creative partnership known as ChrisandGiles.com, and founder of TommySpirit.com, the self-confessed food photo ‘bomber’ with his own Tumblr. Giles will give a practical workshop demonstrating how to use cheap apps, web tools and tricks to get results *almost* as good as the professional work he does for clients such as Waitrose, Innocent and Jordans Cereals.

Paul Sanders has been picture editor of The Times in London for eight years, meaning that in a single day he views around 20,000 images from across the globe, helping select images that make the paper stand out every day. Paul is married and has a six-year-old son who is the unwilling of many experimental photographs. At BlogCamp, Paul will be demonstrating simple and effective ways to edit photographs before publication – using blogger’s own images and widely available software tools to show how you can quickly and easily improve your photos and achieve brilliant results. If you would like to send Paul a photo before BlogCamp, he will edit the image and then demonstrate his editing technique live at the workshop. Just email us your pictures!

We will also be joined by Daniel Collier, of SEO and digital marketing agency iCrossing. Daniel works with major UK brands to identify blogs for advertising and outreach campaigns, and he’ll be answerig your questions about reviews, advertising and SEO. He also says he’s bringing the best cupcakes in Brighton. This may or may not be mostly why we invited him.
BlogCamp Brighton is taking place at the Thistle Hotel in Brighton, on Friday October 7th from 10am. It is completely FREE to registered bloggers. To register for your place at BlogCamp Brighton, simply email us for details.
