It’s time for our monthly look at the brands and products that got the British Mummy and Daddy bloggers of the Tots100 talking this month.
The Mummy Blogger Brand Index basically takes the output of the top 100 parent blogs in the tots100 and analyses how frequently brands and products are mentioned. The Blogger Brand Index isn’t a measure of sentiment, but it does allows us to see what brands British parents are talking about most frequently – and how that conversation is being shaped by PR and blogger outreach campaigns.
This month, the most talked about brand, once again, was Lego thanks to several reviews and some blogger trips to the Legoland theme park.
In second place this month was Center Parcs, which has invited several bloggers to enjoy long weekend breaks at its resorts – perfect timing for those looking to find out about last-minute summer holiday options, or those booking early for 2012 – and of course some bloggers just happened to be there anyway!
Brands that have recruited bloggers for reviews had some success this month – particularly Chad Valley, Zumba and Oreo, which invited Mums and kids to take part in a licking race. Weird but true.
Other interesting blogger outreach campaigns in July included cooking and recipe activities from Schwartz, paid-for posts from Persil and Sky Bingo and an ongoing product ambassador campaign being run by Morphy Richards.
