The Tots100 team is delighted to announce that following the launch of BlogCamp London, we are now moving up North and next month will see our first BlogCamp event in Manchester!

What is BlogCamp?

BlogCamp is a unique FREE event for bloggers that provides you with an opportunity to meet other bloggers, drink coffee, eat cake and pick up some practical tips and insights into how to make the most of your blog, from our specially invited guests, who are experts in their field.

Would you like to join Tots100 and TalkTalk for BlogCamp Manchester on June 17th from 10am to 3pm at the Cornerhouse in central Manchester?

To register for the event, you’ll need a registration code, which you can get from us – just leave a comment on this post, and we will email you with the relevant link and information on how to book your ticket. Please note that tickets are strictly limited in number and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Want to know a bit more about BlogCamp?

Hosted by Sally Whittle (Who’s the MummyMAD Blog Awards and the Tots100), the event will feature a series of workshops and discussions aimed at bloggers. We will also have internet experts on hand throughout the day to answer your questions and provide tips and tricks on making the most of technology.

Date: 17th June, 2011. 10am – 3pm – FREE

Where: The Cornerhouse, Manchester

Workshops will include…

Developing a signature style: Hear from some of the UK’s most successful bloggers about how they built their blogs, developed a unique voice and turned that into a loyal audience. Share your experiences and tips on how to make the most of your blog content.

Keeping your kids safe online: TalkTalk’s Internet safety experts will provide practical tips and advice on internet safety, for bloggers and their kids.

Breakout session: There will be plenty of time built into the day to let you chat with other bloggers attending the event, as well as our expert speakers and guests from TalkTalk.

Design a better blog: Practical tips on designing blogs covering WordPress and Blogger, from an expert in graphic design and website design. We’ll be looking at how tweaking design can increase traffic, build site stickiness, and encourage people to read more of your content.

So, how do people find my blog? We will be looking at how to search-optimise your blog in five minutes a day, focusing on simple techniques you can build into your blogging that will drive more visitors to your site!

Can’t make it?

We will be holding several more BlogCamp events during 2011. Our next event is planned for Bristol, with future events in other UK cities. If you’d like to be first to find out about new BlogCamp events, please head over to the BlogCamp website and join our mailing list using the ‘Register for BlogCamp’ link. This will give you early access to BlogCamp tickets in future.

Sally Whittle is founder of the Tots100, Foodies100, BlogSummit and the MAD Blog Awards. When she’s not working, she can be found blogging at Who’s the Mummy, or having fun with her 8 year old daughter, Flea.
